The Abhoy Charan De Foundation works at the grassroots to empower school children across West Bengal — through scholarships, community support, and the transformative power of education.
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."
— W.B. Yeats
The Abhoy Charan De Foundation was born from a simple but profound belief — that every child in our community, regardless of background or economic circumstance, deserves to have their hard work and talent recognised and celebrated.
Founded in 2024 and organised in partnership with Panchanantala New Athletic Club, our Foundation is a grassroots non-profit rooted in the communities of West Bengal. We exist to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity.
Our work goes far beyond examinations. We advocate for education within families, create platforms for young achievers to shine, and build a culture of academic ambition that will inspire generations of children.
Since our founding, the Abhoy Charan De Foundation has been tireless in its mission to bring educational recognition to the children of West Bengal. Our debut Merit Hunt Examination brought together hundreds of students from dozens of schools — children who might never have had a formal stage to demonstrate their brilliance.
We believe that recognition itself is transformative. When a child receives a scholarship certificate in front of their family and community, something profound shifts — they begin to believe their efforts matter, and that their future is worth investing in.

Top-ranking students receive cash scholarships, merit certificates, and public celebration at our annual Prize Distribution Ceremony.
The Abhoy Charan De Foundation is powered by a passionate team of community volunteers, educators, and local leaders who give their time and energy to make this initiative a reality. We are not a corporate organisation — we are neighbours, parents, and teachers who care deeply about the children in our community.
Our team coordinates every aspect of the Merit Hunt — from designing question papers and managing exam centres, to organising the prize ceremony and communicating with schools. Every rupee of our scholarship pool goes directly to students.
We are always seeking passionate individuals — teachers, parents, community members — who wish to volunteer with us and help grow this movement.

Have questions about registration, the examination, or how to support our mission? We'd love to hear from you — our team responds promptly.
